Discover Goodwill of Southern & Western Colorado Donation Site Attendant - FT - Smoky Hill Donation Center (E. Smoky Hill Rd. & E-470) - Day Shift in Aurora, Colorado

Please Note: This position is full time and requires open availability (including weekends).

Shifts could start as early as 8:30 am and go as late as 5:30 pm. We anticipate our Attended Donations Centers will soon be open 9 am to 5 pm daily.

OBJECTIVE:

The Donation Site Attendant will work at Goodwill of Colorado's Attended Donation Centers (ADC's) accepting donations and offering the highest level of customer service displaying an “Attitude of Gratitude” in order to support the mission of the organization. Donation Site Attendants will be held accountable for greeting customer’s timely, respectfully accepting donations, and sorting the donations. Donation Site Attendants will be responsible for maintaining the donation sites ensuring that they are operating effectively and safely.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accept donated goods, assisting customers with unloading the product.

  • Ensure that every donated item is handled with care to show respect to the donor and for the item.

  • Sort donations/product into department production areas.

  • Provide excellent Customer Service, greeting customers in a timely manner.

  • Maintain the shed and trailer, following open/closing procedures and ensuring that supplies are kept stocked.

  • Track and report on donation levels daily to ensure that trailers do not become over stocked.

  • Work with the transportation department and dispatchers to schedule trailer pick-ups and drop-offs.

  • Provide a safe, organized and clean environment for customers and fellow employees.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A background check is required for this position.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous warehouse, donation collection, or shipping/receiving experience desired.

  • Able to repetitively lift over 50lbs.

  • Able to withstand prolonged standing, bending and lifting up to 8 hours per day.

  • Able to work a varied schedule to include weekends and holidays with occasional overtime as necessary.

  • Able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff and peers.
