Do you love to cook? Do you love to cook with fantastic ingredients? Beaver Creek Fine Dining may be the place for you. We are looking for experienced cooks to join an established culinary team. As a member of the team, you will be held responsible for maintaining our high standards of food quality and service. Working in Beaver Creek Fine Dining means taking pride in the food you place on a plate. It means working within an established and professional culinary team and it means working at the top of your game.

Responsibilities:

  • Work off prep list and complete station set up in time allotted

  • Fabricate items to standard during service

  • Complete prep list for next service period

  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas within the restaurant to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food handling practices

  • Practice good personal hygiene, safe food handling and culinary skills

  • Practices HACCP principles

  • Attend all trainings and classes as assigned or advised by Supervisor.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent - required

  • Previous kitchen experience - highly preferred

  • Minimum 3 years fine dining experience - preferred

  • Able to read, write, speak, comprehend and understand English fluently - required

  • Able to lift and carry 50 lbs - required

  • Must be able to stand for 8+ hours - required.

  • Flexibility in scheduling, ability to work long hours, weekends and holidays- required

  • Able to talk and hear directions in a loud kitchen environment - required

  • Able to work in a loud, hot kitchen for up to 8 hours during a shift - required

  • Able to give and receive oral direction in a loud kitchen environment - required

  • Must be able to assure safe and clean work condition for all personnel – required

  • Must be able to communicate clearly with chef and sous chef to ensure that customer needs are meet.

  • Advanced knowledge of proper cutting techniques, kitchen safety and sanitation – preferred

  • Must possess the following key essential qualities - adaptability, flexibility, positive attitude, even temperament and a keen eye for detail - required .

  • Must follow all policies and procedures for the Food and Beverage Department and Vail Resorts – required

  • Two year Culinary degree – preferred

The budgeted range starts at $12.32. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
