Beaver Creek is looking for a Head and Assistant Tennis Pro to oversee all programming, outside operations, Assistant- Pro, court maintenance, and outside attendants. Beaver Creek Tennis Center is public facility which supports the Beaver Creek Club Members, high end resort guests and our local community. There are 5 clay courts and 2 hard court (multi-use), and a full Pro shop. The Tennis Pros are responsible for teaching private lessons, clinics and running event play. Candidate should be professional and comfortable with high end clientele. Season runs from Mid-May to early October. Compensation is comprised of hourly pay and commission on lessons and clinics.
Manage all daily outside operations- lessons, clinics, events, court maintenance and outdoor facility.
Assist with hiring of outside staff, Assistant Pro and Outside Attendants. Manage outside team. This includes interviewing, coaching and providing input to Activities Manager on staff performance appraisals.
Responsible for department budget: labor, operating, maintenance and capital planning in conjuncture with Club manager.
Promote BC Tennis with hotel partners and local community.
Coverage on all event play- Men’s Day Monday, Round Robin Mixed Tuesday, Ladies’ Day Thursday.
Oversight of early season set up of courts, windscreens, and grounds cleanup. Work with clay court set up vendor. End of season close up- windscreens up, takedown nets, tarp and store furniture and floats out of clay court reservoirs
Overall cleaning and maintenance of outdoor facility working closely with outside attendants- courts, leaf/debris mitigation, sidewalks, lawns, pruning, trash, water, drainage and more
Highly visible in day to day operations, June – September.
Schedule meetings and administer Tennis Committee directives- “To provide a forum for members to share input regarding future capital expenditures, programming, merchandising, or other items at the Beaver Creek Tennis Center .”
Safety of employees and environment, proper training with chemicals and equipment
Work closely with Pro Shop staff on programing, bookings, and rack cards.
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous club and/or experience working with high net worth guests
1-2 years preferred
USPTA or USPTR Certified Required
Pickle ball certified preferred
Microsoft Office Suite, Procurement, Guest Connect
Strong administrative skills including computer proficiency and other office equipment
Strong interpersonal communication and relationship development
The budgeted range starts at $15.00 - $25.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
