Hotel Elegante Guest Services Agent in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Essential Functions: Check in/out guests. Respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, andprofessional manner. Handle guest registration and room assignments. Accommodate special requests whenever possible. Pre-register, block reservations and take same day reservations. Follow hotel rate structures, discounts, and sell strategies onfuture reservations. Assist customers in all inquiries in connection with the hotel. Resolve complaints. Assist inquiries on in house events, directions, check cashing,safety boxes, etc. Handle guest check in/outs in accordance with hotel credit/cashhandling policies in a friendly and efficient manner. Cancel room reservations according to procedures. Do inventory on guest room keys as per policy, request re-keying asnecessary. Assist Bell Person, PBX Operator, and Reservationists whenexperiencing heavy volume. Verify registration card to verify the correct name, type ofpayment, rate and market segment.Supportive Functions: Assist at the Bell stand, shuttle driving or other areas as needed Assist with guest service in other areas of the hotel as requestedKnowledge and skills: High school education or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of the front desk, services, policies oroperation, and general knowledge of the hotel. Working knowledge is learnedon the job. Able to operate computer equipment and reservation systems. Able to read and write/understand primary language used in workplace, second language is preferred.
