The Producer, Marriage Events position exists to provide marriage events project leadership. This position plays a lead role in idea generation, strategy, coordination, and delivery of all Marriage & Family events and has the responsibility and authority over all Marriage & Family event initiatives. This position will be responsible to manage all marriage event production, implementation and direction of all event projects and timelines, as they relate to the Marriage & Family Formation department.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Develops digital event engagement plans, project charters, communication matrixes, timelines and any other documents required for event projects
Helps guide digital marriage event logistics from strategic planning, design, implementation, and production (AV) as well as any event onsite coordination of volunteers, staff, and talent
Is responsible for execution of digital and in-person marriage events run of show
Determines creative needs consistent with the Focus brand and in collaboration with the marketing and content development teams
Works with Director of Marriage to create a customer journey, driving toward the overall marriage strategy objectives in line with the Focus ministry strategy
Collaborates and maintains strong, effective relationships with cross ministry departments
Serves as the marriage department liaison to the Ministry Events department to execute on any Focus campus on-site marriage event delivery
Works with Director of Marriage to build new event programs for an emerging market of constituents in the 0-8 years married demographic
Works with Director of Marriage to reach a varied marriage audience in the U.S. as well as support any Global Department marriage event efforts
Identifies and manages to major project milestones
Manages the process of tracking and communicating issues, risks, and action items
Maintains up-to-date weekly communications of project status to Director of Marriage and project stakeholders
Helps manage post-project activities including project assessment and documentation (e.g. lessons learned, and customer satisfaction surveys)
Develops a deep understanding of Marriage and Family Formation research data – internal and external as required
Analyzes external market trends, demographics, related programs and other areas associated with marriage events ministry
Assists Director of Marriage with budget planning for all event initiatives
Serves as a “checkpoint” for understanding and escalating budgetary concerns for all marriage events as appropriate
Represents and speaks to marriage events strategy at management level meetings

Directs assigned staff’s activities and monitors their progress during planning process
Directs volunteers and staff in assigned duties during event execution
Working Environment/Physical Requirements:
Office environment
Marriage event travel (seasonal) – may travel up to 3-4 times per year

Knowledge/Experience:
Degree in Business or related field/experience is preferred
3-5 years of professional work experience with increasing responsibility
2-3 years of demonstrated project management experience – planning and implementing projects
Understanding of video creation process
Experience in scheduling/traffic
A/V knowledge
Familiarity with multiple digital event platforms
Thorough understanding of Focus on the Family mission, philosophy, values, and objectives
Experience with strategic and tactical planning
Knowledge and experience of corporate business process

Salary Range:$48,000 to $56,700/yr.
