To be considered for this position, please submit an online application.Job Title: Woodward Copper Scooter CoachJob Status: SeasonalJob Summary:The Woodward Copper Scooter Coach will be responsible for teaching Scooterinstruction to various levels of campers. Position will include teachinginside the Barn, around Copper Mountain, and at various public parksaround Colorado. Applicants must have strong Scooter skills and strongcommunication skills. Previous coaching experience preferred, but will trainstrong applicants. He/she will have additional responsibilities includingmonitoring camper whereabouts, assisting with camper recreation, andensuring campers' physical and psychological needs are met. He/she will bean integral part of all-around camp life. He/she may also be responsible formonitoring larger groups of campers during mealtimes or other times as deemednecessary by the Supervisor/Manager on duty.This individual will be assigned a group of approximately eight campers of asimilar skill level. This individual's responsibilities will includecoaching morning, afternoon and/or evening sessions as scheduled by thesupervisors/managers. This individual will be instructing Scooter Campers ofvarious ages and various skill levels on various features; e.g., foampits, miniramps, bowl, concrete parks, trampolines, airbag, etc.This individual will be teaching both structured and unstructured sessions.This person will be scheduled and trained as needed for assistance with camperrecreation, which may include off-site activities.He/she will be responsible for escorting the group to/from meals andinstruction. He/she will remain with the group throughout instructionperiods and will instruct the campers both individually and as a group.He/she will be responsible for ensuring campers report to morning,afternoon, and evening activities appropriately. He/she will beresponsible for assigned group of campers unless the night counselor is onduty, at which time he/she will relay important communication to the nightcounselor; e.g., medications, challenges throughout day. He/she willcommunicate with other Woodward staff as appropriate regarding camper needs;e.g., homesickness, peer issues, injuries.Basic Requirements:-Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.-Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background checkwill be conducted after position is accepted.
