Atrium Hospitality Culinary Associate - Line Cook in Denver, Colorado

Hotel:Denver Crowne PlazaJob DescriptionProfile:Telecommute: NoBonus Eligible: NoDirect Reports: NoReports To: All Purpose Manager or Executive ChefEquipment: UniformPrimary Purpose:The primary purpose of the Culinary Associate is to provide guests with anexcellent dining experience while preparing all orders in an efficient,timely and high-quality manner that is consistent with menu recipes.Work Performed:TheCulinary Associatewill be tasked with the following duties,responsibilities, and assignments:Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmentalpolicies/service procedures/standards;Prepare and cook food items for line and banquet consumption usingstandardized foodtechniques;Expedite the line during serving periods as needed ensuring food qualityandpresentation;Assist in the coordination ofopening and closing as well asall lineprepduties;Stock all food stations and prepare all food for next shift asrequired;Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchenequipment;Maintain sanitary regulations of food temperatures and rotatingproducts;Complete regular sanitization/disinfection of all kitchen and food andbeverage work areas toincludeflooring, storerooms, prep areas,buffets, dining tables andequipment;Demonstrate a working knowledge of menus, recipes, food preparationandpresentation;Operate dish machine and three compartmentsinks;Separate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containersCoordinates all receiving and storing ofproducts;Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, includingreporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; andAny and allother work as required to complete the primary purpose of theposition.Qualifications:Required Prior Experience:Prior customer service experiencePreferred Prior Experience:Prior related culinary experiencePreferred Education:High School Diploma or equivalent preferredRequired Licenses/ Certification:Food Safety certificate or complete training during initial60 days.Physical:Ability to lift, pull and push up to 50lbs occasionally and 15lbsregularly; Ability to bend and squat repeatedly; Ability to walk and standfor duration of scheduled shiftOther:Flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings,nights,weekendsandholidaysStarting Compensation$14.00In addition to competitive compensation packages, all Atrium Associates areeligible for commissions for referred and booked hotel business, 401(k)Retirement Savings plan with company match and travel discounts.Full-Time Associates are also eligible for employer-sponsored healthinsurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance; life insurance;short-term / long-term disability insurance; tuition reimbursement; paid/ unpaid time off and paid sick leave for Colorado residents.Our associates and leaders are driven every day to make Atrium Hospitality agreat place to work and grow.
