Colorado Department Of Human Services Dining Services I - Temporary Aide at Bruce McCandless in Florence, Colorado

This is a temporary part-time position.Additional important information about this position is available on the Stateof Colorado Job Board posting.Description of JobShift Information:Shifts will be scheduled from 5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. or 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.**Please note: Shifts will vary based on the needs of the department.**DUTIES:Work with other dietary aides to coordinate daily kitchen tasksAid in meal time duties including taking meal orders, building trays,delivering meals to room, busing traysUnderstand modified diets and be able to comply with diets for each residentEnsure residents needs are met at each meal time Operate dish machine and aidin dishes before/after meal timesSort and stack dishes. Maintain temperature chart.Clean and sanitize work area and dining room, i.e. floors, carts, walls.Empty trashPerform additional deep cleaning duties in kitchen and dining roomReceive, check and rotate suppliesOther duties as assigned including preparing drinks, snacks, desserts, saladsMinimum Qualifications:Six months of experience working in customer service. (This experience must be specifically documented on your application).SUBSTITUTION:NoneEmployment history is calculated on a full-time basis (40/hrs per week).Part-time employment is calculated on a pro-rated basis to determinequalifications. Be sure your application specifically addresses yourqualifications, experience, work products, and accomplishments as theyrelate to the position and minimum requirements.Preferred QualificationsFood services experienceKnowledge Of:Food service operations and the preparation and production of foodCleaning and sanitizing practices as they relate to food service operationsKnowledge of safe food handling, and storage practices and regulationsKnowledge of food safety related to handling and storing cooked foods,serving andstoring temperatures and reading food thermometers.Ability To:Ability to read and write at the level necessary for interpreting andunderstandingwritten recipes, menus, nourishment labels, diet slips, portioningsheets, and policies and procedures.Ability to display high standards of ethical conduct. Listens to others and respondsappropriately.Conditions of Employment:Name check, TRAILS, Drug Screen and Fingerprinting, CAPMust be able to work a flexible schedule, day and evening shifts, nightshifts, weekends, and holidays and back-to-back shift and double shiftsas needed.A Tuberculosis Test (TB) will be required upon hire.Must be able to work around and with cleaning chemicals such as bleach,dishwasher detergent, oven cleaner, etc.Former State employees who were disciplinarily terminated or resigned in lieuof termination must disclose the information on the application and provide anexplanation why the prior termination or resignation should not disqualify theapplicant from the current position. Absent extraordinary circumstances,prior disciplinary termination or resignation in lieu of termination willdisqualify the applicant from future State employment with CDHS.
