Description of Work Unit

Provide custodial services necessary to ensure clean, safe, sanitary, well maintained buildings to meet University customer needs and to protect the assets of CSU which further enhance the University’s ability to achieve its objectives in instruction, research and public service.

Position Summary

This position exists to provide managerial support and oversight for eight custodial services teams consisting of eight Custodian III’s, eight Custodian II’s and 74 Custodian I’s whose responsibility it is to provide a wide range of custodial and cleaning services for the occupants of University buildings. It also supervises one Structural Trades II equipment repair technician.

Note to Applicants: This posting will be filling the PM shift and is scheduled Monday – Friday, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm.

Minimum Qualifications

Three full-time years of custodial services experience two of which must have been at the level of unit supervisor or equivalent.

  • Note to Internal Applicants: Your application must demonstrate two years of experience at the Custodian III level.

  • Note to external applicants: The two years of unit supervision must have included performance management and the ability to impact pay, status, and tenure of subordinate staff.
