Guest Service Attendant ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess the interior and exterior of the hotel to observe and identifypotential guest service issues, safety and security risks, and undesirableconditions Respond appropriately to emergency situations (typically by calling9-1-1) including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medicalemergencies and threats to life and/or property Check the operation of alarm systems, security cameras, safety andfire equipment systems and closely monitor building doors, service areas,and delivery areas Promote safe work practices and serve as key contributor to associatesafety initiatives that could include Safety Committee meetings, training,etc. Initiates preliminary investigations into incidents, as needed Writes reports and ensures accuracy of necessary documentation, asneeded Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in atimely, friendly and efficient manner Assist Maintenance team with completing routine repair work orders,as requested by Chief Engineer Assist Front Desk staff with distributing guest receipts to roomsprior to check-out (overnight shift only). Manages inbound and outbound packages and shipments for hotel guestsand associates (day shift only) Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time, andobserves prescribed work, break and meal periods in compliance with standards. Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, whichinclude compliance with the dress code. Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 to 6months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience. LANGUAGE ABILITY Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, shortcorrespondence, and memos in English. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES Must possess current CPR/First Aid certification.
