This position works with the Camp Director in leading and coordinatingall aspects of Silver Cliff Ranch. This includes program development;planning, maintaining systems and programs for staff and groups;emergency/risk management planning and practice; providing qualityservices to groups in compliance with state and local regulations, bestpractices in the field, and Silver Cliff Ranch policies and procedures. Inthe absence of the Camp Director, the Assistant Camp Director assumes fullrespTo successfully perform this job, the employee may be expected to performthe following, with or without reasonable accommodations in accordance withthe Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990:Essential Functions:* Assume the Camp Director's responsibilities when off-site or off-duty.* Participate in the recruiting, prospecting and booking of groups at SilverCliff Ranch. Assist with check in and check out of all groups.* Hire, train, support, supervise and evaluate seasonal staff andvolunteers. Share in implementing recruitment and selection of new andreturning seasonal staff and volunteers.* Training of camp team members in all aspects of camp policies andprocedures.* Model appropriate staff - camper communication. Behave as an appropriatepositive role model for staff and guests.* Implement and oversee State of Colorado regulations, as they apply toSilver Cliff Ranch.* Attend and assist during Staff Orientation Program and ongoing staffmeetings.* Assist the Camp Director during the set up and break down of the camp.* Report daily to the Camp Director regarding day to day operations of thecamp.* Share in the development and monitoring of camp budgets to ensure financialsoundness.* Provide coverage in the event of the inability of a camp team member toperform his/her duties.* Perform and other reason
