Job Description Summary:
Property Summary:Manor Vail Lodge is one of Vail's original and iconic properties. This Vail Village resort and hotel features a peaceful yet convenient location, and offers a variety of accommodations to meet your needs. It also offers the quickest access to the Back Bowls and Blue Sky Basin.Night Security Officer:Work overnights walking the property, checking vacant rooms, making sure doors are locked, report incidents, etc.
Patrols lobbies, corridors, and public rooms, confers with management, interviews guests and employees, and interrogates persons to detect infringements and investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalisms, and accidents.
Patrols public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment.
Warns or ejects troublemakers, and cautions careless persons.
Obtains assistance for accident victims and writes accident reports.
Notifies staff of presence of persons with questionable reputations.
Assists management and enforcement officers in emergency situations.
Inspect all common area restrooms and replenish any supplies as needed.
Inspect all unoccupied rooms to ensure thermostat settings are accurate and appliances are in working order.

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
No Computer skills needed.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Drivers' License that is clear of violations. Some Loss prevention courses helpful.
